Privacy policy
FamTap is operated by Bizvizor LLC. This policy describes what FamTap collects, why, and what we do not do.
NOT YET REVIEWED BY A LAWYER. The descriptions of what FamTap does are accurate and were written against the product specification. The legal framing — governing law, your statutory rights, our obligations, the lawful bases — has not been drafted or reviewed. Do not submit this to a carrier or an app store in this state.
What we do not do
Stated first because it is short and it is the part most policies bury.
- No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising identifiers.
- No cookies. This website sets none, which is why there is no cookie banner.
- We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
- This website makes no third-party requests at all. The typefaces are served from this domain, not a font CDN, so visiting these pages does not reveal your visit to anyone but us.
What FamTap collects
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Mobile number | To send the setup invitation and missed-check-in alerts, and to sign in. |
| Display name | So a family member's alert says who it is about. |
| Time zone | A check-in window is a local time. Without it the day boundary is wrong. |
| Check-in times | The record of whether a check-in happened inside its window. |
| Photos | The photo attached to a check-in, visible to that person's circle. |
| Device push token | To deliver a reminder or an alert to the app. |
| Delivery records | Whether a message was accepted, delivered, or failed — so a silent failure is visible. |
FamTap does not collect location, contacts, health data, or anything from the device beyond the above.
Who your information is shared with
The FamTap app and service rely on the processors below. The website you are reading relies on none of them — it loads nothing from any other host.
- Twilio — sends SMS. Receives the destination number and the message text.
- Supabase — database, authentication and file storage.
- Apple — delivers push notifications to the app.
- A content-safety provider — see “Photo scanning” below. [NAME THE PROVIDER once contracted.]
Within FamTap, a check-in and its photo are visible to the members of that person's circle, and to nobody else.
Photo scanning
Every photo is scanned by a content-safety provider before it is shown to anyone. A photo is not visible to your family until that scan returns clear. If a photo is flagged as suspected child sexual abuse material, it is retained and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as the law requires, and it is not deleted even if you ask us to delete your account, until that reporting obligation is discharged. This is the one case where a deletion request does not delete.
Keeping and deleting
- You can delete a single check-in or photo from the timeline, and you can delete your whole account from Settings.
- Deleting hides the content immediately. It is then permanently erased, along with the stored photo, 30 days later.
- Your photos are kept while your account exists. We do not delete them on a schedule.
- A record that a number opted out of SMS is kept after deletion, because we have to be able to keep honouring it.
- Flagged photos are the exception described above.
Text messages
FamTap sends setup invitations and missed-check-in alerts, and nothing else. Reply STOP to any message to stop them; reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. See About our text messages.
Children
FamTap is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly create accounts for or collect information from anyone under 13. Children may appear in photos taken by an adult account holder.
Your choices
NEEDS A LAWYER. The specific rights you have — access, correction, deletion, portability, objection — and how they differ by where you live, must be stated by counsel. What is true today: you can see your own check-ins in the app, delete them individually, and delete your account entirely.
